I’ve been pretty MIA but I wont bore everyone with the details. In short, I’m livin life with my head up and doing my best to just enjoy everything.
I started listening to a lot more mellow ska and reggae and naturally The Slackers were one of my first choices. I haven’t been keeping up with them and was pleasantly surprised to find they had released a new album. Apparently, each member helped write songs for the album (instead of just Vic and Glen) and the album is supposed to be more spontaneous.
Call it what you will, it’s damn good. 15 songs strong, ‘The Great Rocksteady Swindle’ has a lot to offer and this song is one of my absolute favorites. Super soothing and calming, it just hits the spot. Vic’s voice is solid as always.
